   I recently bought the KIND “Nut Delight” and “Fruit and Nut” bar varieties. I have tried several types of nutrition/granola/nut bars in the past and found the KIND brand to be the best for flavor, quality of ingredients and lower amount of sugar. Thus I have bought many boxes of these in the past. Unfortunately the 2 boxes recently purchased taste “off”…bad/rancid/a bit like chemicals…hard to describe exactly. The kind of taste that makes one wonder if she/he will get sick from eating them. The expiration date is spring 2012. I’m guessing there is a problem with where and with what they are stored. These ones were listed as sold by Potential Dynamix LLC. I believe that is a different vendor than was listed on my past invoices. I mention the company name to help track a pattern if others also receive “off” bars. Unfortunately, these taste so nasty that I am very hesitant to buy these from amazon again.

   I try not to eat snacks. It’s a long, tough battle. When I do eat snacks, I try to make it something that is nutritionally sound, not an easy task with most snack shelves. Recently, I’ve been on a mild diet to try to shed an excess ten pounds. I had a skimpy evening meal and was in my Fresh and Easy Neighborhood Market feeling somewhat hungry and knowing I’d not be home for a couple more hours. So I went to the snack shelves and discovered that they had all kinds of “healthy” snacks. One of these was Kind Fruit and Nut Bars and I chose the Nut Delight (1.4 ounces). It contained a variety of nuts and a minimum of sugar, plus it had a good fiber content. It was a good snack, without question. Quite tasty. I would have only one piece of advice. Nuts can get somewhat stale after they’ve been siting around for a while. Before you buy any quantity of this product, you might check to make sure that it has been manufactured very recently. I might add that this particular bar had a long way to go before it reached it’s expiration date.

   These are the best Kind bars and a healthy snack… need to buy a few more boxes.. well worth the money
