To those who are not familiar with Splenda, you should know why the other sweeteners don’t stack up. I’m 47, and have illnesses that cause me to be homebound and mostly bed-ridden since 2009. So of course with no exercise I developed Type II Diabetes. I tried the other sweeteners and the worst is the pink one which has an aftertaste you can’t quite describe, but it’s AWFUL and is a carcinogen (causes cancer)!
Splenda is not a carcinogen, and you can barely taste the difference between real sugar and Splenda. I USED TO LOVE SUGAR AND HAD SWEET TOOTH BINGES LIKE ANY YOUNGER PERSON. Splenda is being used in more and more sugar free foods and you really can’t tell the difference from real sugar.
As a 16-year medical technologist, I recommend everyone to use Splenda, because the USA uses far too much sugar to begin with. So switching to Splenda now will greatly reduce: weight problems, heart problems, Diabetes, and a long list of other ailments that come from long term overuse of real sugar.

Irritates my bladder, May 3, 2016

    Verified Purchase(What’s this?)
I have found out that the ingredient in Splenda, sucralose, was irritating my bladder, so I had to discontinue use of this item.

When we met our son for lunch one day last week, he commented that he did not remember when the last time was that I sat on the inside of the booth. I told him I don’t have to go to the bathroom as often since I stopped using sucralose so I don’t need to be on the outside of the seating area.

I also make only 1 trip to the bathroom at night, and sometimes no trip at all to the bathroom at night since I have cut sucralose out of my diet. I used to get up every hour to hour and a half at night.

Finally, I can sleep at night!

Love the price, the packets, the taste and the lack of calories!, September 15, 2014

Updated April 2015: I downgraded my rating to 4 stars because, although I do still love the taste and convenience of Splenda packets, it has been said that Splenda is NOT completely safe as once thought. I personally switched to Stevia which has been deemed completely safe for consumption (for now anyway). However, I will still use Splenda when I am out and am don’t believe a little bit will hurt me.

Great price for 400 packets! I use Splenda in my iced tea and a box will last for months. Splenda doesn’t have an aftertaste that I can detect and it’s supposedly safe for human consumption with no dodgy long term affects. It doesn’t cause any digestive issues and tastes fine. I just ran out and need to buy a new box. I love that it comes in packets so that it doesn’t get stale or contaminated and I always toss a few in my purse so I have it if the places I get drinks from don’t. I don’t like other sweeteners. And no calories is a big bonus – and why I use it in the first place.
